About Cribbs Causeway
Snapdragons Cribbs Causeway is a modern, purpose-built nursery popular with families in the surrounding residential areas as well as parents commuting into Bristol. It has great transport links including M4, M5 and main routes into Bristol for drivers and users of public transport. Two EV charging points are available for parents. The nursery reception area opens into a beautiful double height hall which is used for group activities like storytelling, singing, dancing and celebrations. A central corridor leads onto all the children's rooms all of which are filled with natural light from floor-to-ceiling doors which open directly into the garden. The outdoor spaces are thoughtfully designed for each age group, with trees, wildflowers, and challenging natural wood play structures that encourage exploration and outdoor learning. The rooms are furnished with natural wood furniture, creating a calm, modern environment and are fully temperature-controlled with air conditioning and underfloor heating for year-round comfort. Links with the local community are forged through trips to the nearby park, local attractions like the Aerospace Museum and regular visits to Meryton Care Home where the children and residents enjoy sharing crafting, cooking and chatting together. Children's happiness, health and wellbeing are central to everything we do so there is an emphasis on outdoor play, healthy food and safe, nurturing environments. We run forest school sessions with our qualified forest school leaders and enjoy regular art enrichment days with our Snapdragons artist in residence. The nursery has a Food for Life Gold Served Here award from the Soil Association and is a Millie's Mark setting, which means that every staff member, including non-childcare colleagues are paediatric first aid trained.
